Indications:
Initially: Advanced ovarian carcinoma in combination with other approved chemotherapy. Second treatment: Palliative treatment in advanced ovarian carcinoma recurring after prior chemotherapy, including those previously treated with cisplatin, metastatic small cell carcinoma of the lung.
Contra-Indications:
Severe renal impairment, severe myelosuppression, history of severe allergic reactions to platinum-containing compounds or mannitol.
Special Precautions:
Monitoring of renal function should be performed, determination of the hematological nadir by weekly blood counts, progressive and frequent development of anemia.
Side Effects:
Myelosuppression and nephrotoxicity, liver function changes, allergic reactions.
